The Akumals

The Akumals, Quintana Roo, Mexico is one of most fascinating places in the Yucatan – culturally speaking. The “mega-highway” of Mexico 307 divides the small tourist resort community of Akumal with the small Mexican city of Akumal Centro.

A shout out for Rosetta Stone

I have the amazing opportunity to use Rosetta Stone for free through the company for which I work. Until recently, I was under challenged by the simplicity of the exercises. Once hitting conversational level, there was no way of truly practicing conversation.I rated the program: Just for beginners.

Recently, we upgraded to Rosetta Stone’s TOTALE platform. In addition to the simple exercises, the platform offers games to do on your own, as well as other learners. The best part is that they offer one-on-one sessions with native speakers of the language you are learning. And made practice exercises compatible with hand-held devices and iPads.
